Eyes Adrift

Now I have climbed your walls 
And walked along your salty pond 
The love we trained went wild 
Painted windows on the walls 
Of a cavernous heart 

Here's my telescope, here's my potato gun 
Here's my dumb attempt to shoot into the sun 
And every morning with the radio on 
Not gonna sit around here and cry til you're gone 

Now tears can't stop the fire 
They're really more like candledrops 
The wax is rolling down 
In flames that char the paper walls
