The trees are bare and the sky is cold 
You can leave me in summer 
When the sun is gold

When the rain falls without end 
You can wait for the flowers to bloom 
You can leave me then 

Don’t leave me in summer 
Cause it’s too hot to cry 
And the bees are lovely 
When that grass, when that grass is high
