Yeah there's something I like about this time of year There's a chill in the air at night but the warm days are still here Should have told me something when I gave the ride down town And you pushed my hand away and made me feel like a clown I cried "Red Yellow, Black and Blue What's good for you is good for me too" Saw an ad in the paper one day someone looking for a painter Someone wanted all their colors changed So I took that job and I learned to paint and I tried to learn from my mistakes. I cried "Red Yellow, Black and Blue What's good for you is good for me too" Saw a sign in the window one day for those who pray You can buy a candle each for every kind of saint Then a crack in the ground swallowed me up yeah swallowed me whole When I crawled back out, lit up a candle and I did it all for you I cried "Red Yellow, Black and Blue What's good for you is good for me too" I cried "Red Yellow, Black and Blue What's good for you is good for me too"
